SMART Goals are ones that makes sense:

SMART Goals are ones that makes sense:

Specific– make a clear path to follow and you will be less likely to become lost along the way. Ask yourself the “who, what, when, where” questions.

Measurable– how will you know that you reached your goal if you don’t know what the criteria is? Ask how much (1 minute, 10%) and how many (5 pounds, 20 push-ups)

Attainable– give yourself goals that are within reach. If the goal is long-term, give yourself smaller markers to reach along the way. Safe weight loss is about 2 pounds per week.

Realisitic– decide what makes sense to your lifestyle and build on that foundation.

Trackable– document your progress. You m ay want to include a journal to explore your attitude along the way. Note improvements and how you have overcome hurdles.
